WELCOME!

ABOUT HSSD

The Historical Society of South Dundas (HSSD) is a dynamic  volunteer based charitable organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the history and heritage of South Dundas. HSSD believes in the power of history to build  community.

South Dundas was comprised of many tiny towns and hamlets, many of which no longer exist.

* If you have any photos of those communities that you would be willing to share with us , we'd love to have the opportunity to scan them and add to our records! Contact: John Bridge at PresidentHSSD@gmail.com to let him know you have items to share.

Protecting Our Heritage

South Dundas heritage resources include buildings, landscapes, monuments, cemeteries, folktales, people and more. These resources enrich us, inspire us, and guide us forward to build vibrant, livable communities for future generations. They generate tourism, build knowledge, and contribute to our shared identity.
