Beckstead

A post office named Beckstead opened in 1882 and the unincorporated hamlet was named for it's first postmaster: G. Beckstead who served as the inaugural postmaster. The Beckstead post office was eventually closed following the inauguration of rural mail delivery. There are no longer any businesses in Beckstead. Beckstead Road is located East of Dunbar and South East of Orchardside.
