The Historical Society of South Dundas (HSSD) is a charitable organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of South Dundas. This goal galvanized HSSD to help save the Forward House from demolition in 2017 and develop a 5-year business plan for
renewal.
Our mandate is simple... Protect, restore and renovate the heritage Forward house for public use, as a heritage venue, information centre and as an integral part of the Iroquois Waterfront Park and surrounding area.
A clear vision for the future... The Forward House is a vibrant community place, the home of HSSD and a welcome centre. It is sustained financially through a creative annual program of heritage inspired activities and events.
